Hiking trail Leskovik-Postenan

The walk from Leskovik toward Postenan crosses some of the emptiest hill country behind Gjirokastër, territory most visitors to the Ottoman old town never think to look at. Stone-roofed hamlets sit hours apart, water sources dry up outside spring, and the path itself is closer to an old shepherd track than a maintained trail — expect a long day rather than an afternoon stroll. As with most routes in this pocket of inland Albania, May through October is the realistic window before weather closes the higher ground.
