Dhërmi — beach clubs, festivals and the Llogara plunge
White village, turquoise water and Albania's loudest summer parties — Dhërmi is the Riviera at full saturation.
Why Dhërmi?
Dhërmi is the Riviera's flagship — kilometre-long pebble beach, dozens of beach clubs, and two of southeast Europe's biggest summer festivals (Kala and ION).
When to visit
June and early September for beach with breathing room. Late June (Kala festival) if music + sea is your thing. August is hectic — book months ahead.
Where to stay
Drymades beach has the best clubs and bungalow camps. Dhërmi village (uphill) is quieter and full of stone houses turned guesthouses. Apartments €60–€140 in peak.
What to eat
Grilled seafood at Havana Beach, traditional Albanian at Drymades Inn. Pizza and cocktails everywhere.
Don't miss
- Llogara Pass — drive up just before sunset
- Gjipe Beach — 30-min hike from Drymades, worth every step
- Pirate's Cave (Shpella e Piratëve) — by boat from Drymades
- Old Dhërmi — Byzantine churches in the cliffside village
How to get there
From Vlorë: 50 minutes via Llogara. From Sarandë: 1.5h. Buses connect both directions in summer.
