Ura e Gerles

The path to Ura e Gerles is really a walk to a single, well-loved landmark: an old stone bridge arching over a fast Alpine stream not far from Theth village, the kind of spot locals still use as a point of reference. It's graded moderate rather than easy because the approach involves uneven riverside ground and a modest climb back out, but it suits a half-day out from Theth without committing to a full mountain crossing. Go between May and October; the stream runs highest with spring meltwater, which makes for better photographs but slipperier footing near the bridge itself.
