Route to Nikç

The route to Nikç climbs out of Theth toward one of the more remote hamlets tucked into the folds of the Albanian Alps, on the northern approach that eventually links toward the Kelmend highlands. Expect forested lower slopes giving way to open, rocky ground higher up, with far fewer walkers than the well-trodden Theth–Valbonë crossing gets in peak season. It's rated moderate — manageable for a fit, prepared walker without technical gear — and the dependable season runs May to October, before the upper sections turn icy.
