Llogara - Pilur

This descent runs from the Llogara Pass, where the road first reveals the whole sweep of the Ionian coast, down through pine forest to the village of Pilur above Dhërmi, dropping in altitude far faster than it covers distance. It's graded moderate mainly because of that descent, which is steady on the knees and needs decent footwear rather than technical skill, and the payoff is a shifting view: alpine pine giving way to olive terraces and, eventually, the sea. Walk it May to October and start early, since the lower stretches near Pilur can get warm once the sun clears the ridge.
