Dajti Ridge

A cable car lifts Tirana residents straight out of the traffic and onto this ridge above the capital, where the walk itself runs through pine forest with the city laid out on one side and, on a clear day, a pale line of the Adriatic on the other. It's rated moderate rather than easy — the ridge has real climbs — but it's the closest thing Tirana has to an after-work mountain escape, and weekends bring families as much as serious hikers.
