The networks
- Vodafone Albania — best coverage overall.
- One Albania (formerly Telekom + Albtelecom) — second best.
- ALBtelecom is now part of One.
Where to buy
- Tirana airport — booths in arrivals, slightly more expensive but instant.
- City Vodafone or One stores — €10–€15 for a tourist package with 30+ GB and EU calls.
- Bring your passport.
Wi-Fi
Available at virtually every café, restaurant, hotel and guesthouse, even in mountain villages. Speed is decent in cities, basic but functional in rural areas.
Roaming
If you have an EU SIM, you'll pay roaming charges — Albania is not part of the EU "roam-like-home" zone. Buy a local SIM if staying more than a few days.
