Always
- Power adapter: Type C and F (same as continental Europe).
- Sunscreen — Albanian sun is intense even in May.
- A hat.
- Reef-safe water shoes for pebble beaches.
- A small daypack.
Add for hiking
- Hiking boots (proper ankle support).
- Layered clothing — mountain mornings can be 5 °C even in July.
- Headlamp.
- 2 L water bladder/bottle.
Add for cities & cultural visits
- A scarf or shawl (mosques, churches).
- Flat shoes (cobblestones in old towns are murderous in heels).
What you don't need
- Voltage adapter (it's 230V like the EU).
- Cash conversion before arrival — ATMs at the airport.
- A printed copy of your hotel reservation (digital is fine).
