The lekë

€1 ≈ 100 ALL (varies). Bills come in 200, 500, 1000, 2000, 5000 ALL. Some prices are quoted in euros (especially hotels and restaurants in tourist areas) — they accept both.

ATMs

Widely available in cities. Most charge a fee (≈ 600 ALL / €5–6). BKT and Raiffeisen ATMs are reliable.

Cards

• Cities: yes, almost everywhere.
• Riviera resort towns: yes for hotels, often for restaurants, sometimes for beach bars.
• Mountains, villages: cash only.

Tipping

• Restaurants: round up or 10%.
• Taxis: round up.
• Guides: €5–€10/day if you enjoyed it.
